I began hunting with my dad on our North Georgia farm in the late ‘70s, when I was 11 years old.  We hunted for small game and deer. Turkey populations were not well established back then.

Today I prepare for hunting almost year round:  preparing food plots, running trail cameras, coordinating quota and outfitted hunts, building and hanging hunting stands and scouting on the local and regional level.

Since 2006 I’ve hunted Georgia, Tennessee, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Missouri, Indiana, Texas and British Columbia.  The 2009 hunting agenda will be developing over the next several months.  I hope to bring details of my hunting trips: stories, successes, and failures,  on this web page.

Being an engineer by training and profession, I have incorporated technology into all aspects of my hunting activities. In part, Huntingwayponts.com was founded to create a forum for fellow hunters to get informed on the advantages and pitfalls of doing the same.
